SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  • Meaning of Casting
  • Explain the meaning of Rehearsal
  • Identify Personnel responsible for Directing a play

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers, demonstration

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS:  The Teacher uses an improvised drama, Stage and prop

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION OF THE TOPIC

The teacher introduces Casting as the process of choosing the actors/actress for a play production.

She defines rehearsal as a form of practice in preparation for a performance.

And the skills needed by an Actor and Actress

  1. PRODUCER- plans and manage the cost of the entire play production process
  2. Director- Supervises and direct the action in the play production
  3. Choreographer- creates plans and direct activities of the play production
