STEP 1 INTRODUCTION |
The teacher uses the 12 sons of Jacob and Joseph’s song to introduce the topic. She explains what a coat of many colours- A coat of many colours is a coat that has many colours like red, yellow, blue, green etc |

She then further explains that Jacob was the son of Isaac who had given birth to 12 sons but whose favourite was his 11th son named Joseph |

Using the bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of Joseph - How Jacob loved Joseph because he was born at his old age - How Jacob preferred Joseph to his other sons and had bought him a coat of many colours - How Joseph’s other brothers had become jealous of him to the point of arranging for him to be killed - How the brothers had decided instead to sell him as a slave to Midianites and lied to their father that a wild beast had killed Joseph
